The Song of Hope

The autumn sun stings my skin, blinds my eyes –

I sweat with a smile, no wind to cool me down –

in the sweet limbo of hope….

Patience, the only crutch for my sanity –

Memories, the only proof of God –

But again I’m waiting for the biggest prize –

in the sweet limbo of hope….

With a “little patience…ooohhh yeah…” just a bit more hope

in this blissful state of Schrödinger’s cat

my dream is at an arm’s length –

Right now it’s just a prayer

and that makes it as good as real –

I’ll find out soon, what circumstance brings,

I dread the moment, I shouldn’t think about it –

Just remain here on the bench watching a dog catch a ball

in the sweet limbo of hope…

sunshine-limbo
